The Autumn moon rose cold and pale.
The wind, I heard it moan and wail.
The leaves drift down in a silent cascade,
A solemn, aimless promenade.
The colors dimmed as dusk turned night.
Shadows danced in day’s last light.
All things united in harmony,
Like a dulcet, earthen symphony.
The silvery sound of nature’s strings,
The charming chirps of crickets’ wings.
As I listen I forget all of my woes,
And lay my head down to cricket bows.
