It depends. I am a one-person design studio and usually have several projects in the works at the same time.
Web sites take a minimum of two weeks to produce for a simple site, and can take much longer depending on the complexity. Flash sites usually take a lot of time due to animation and the nature of Flash itself.
Illustration projects really depend on the size and complexity of what you want.

No! My desktop pictures are for your personal desktop computer use only. I can provide you with a quote if you would like background images or graphics created for your Web site.

Because I found that people were linking to the jpeg's around the Internet and using them as background images on their own Web sites or Myspace pages or blogs. This prevents them from doing that. By the way, that is called bandwidth stealing and it is not very polite, as it eats up someone else's Web site bandwidth and can cost them extra money for their Web hosting! There are plenty of sites out there that provide free linking graphics for your Myspace page or whatever. This is not one of them!
